Hubo
Hubo wanted in-store category imagery that feels like authentic photography and can hang in stores for at least ten years: big sizes for banners and large-format prints, not standard digital images. Together with JUMP Retail, we built a custom photography agent with the entire Hubo case baked in: the brief, the photography style, color use, composition rules and Hubo's do's and don'ts. Every shot it generates automatically fits the brief and the brand. On-brand, at scale, without a photo studio.

The Challenge: Store Imagery Built to Last
Store imagery works harder than a social post. It has to signal the category, inspire without selling, and carry Hubo's "helpen in het hart" promise, printed at banner sizes far beyond standard digital resolution. And once it's up, it stays up: these images need to feel right for a decade, not a season. A traditional photo production at this scale and consistency would mean crews, sets, styling and budgets to match, for every single category in the store.

The Solution: A Photography Agent with Hubo Baked In
In the pre-production meeting we locked the full visual direction: style and mood, color use, composition and Hubo's do's and don'ts. That context went straight into a custom photography agent, so every generated shot fits the brief by design. No drift, no restyling.
We then developed one test image, the most intensive phase of the process, finetuning composition, lighting and style consistency until it fully clicked. Only then did we draw that line through the entire series.

Authentic and Human, Not Stock
The images show real DIY moments: painting a wall, hanging a mirror straight, working the garden, sawing wood to size. In every image, a Hubo employee quote takes the stage, like "Ik zaag alles op maat voor je, lekker makkelijk!", giving staff a starring role on the shop floor. Human and helping, never a sales pitch.

Way of Working
Per subject we developed three visual proposals within the agreed frame. Hubo picked one preferred image, which we refined through two structured feedback rounds: one for direction and big visual choices, one for finetuning and details. Definitive choices upfront keep the process focused, predictable and transparent, including the AI compute costs of generating in 4K.

The Result: Nine Images, Ten Years
Nine category images: verven, spiegel, deurbeslag, douche, tuin, timmeren, inloopkast, zonwering and the store exterior, all delivered in 4K for large-format in-store printing. One consistent, authentic photography style across the whole store, built to last ten years minimum.
