Canva - Laat Zien Wat Je Kan
This summer, Canva launched its first major brand campaign in the Benelux: 'Laat zien wat je kan'. Creative agency Fama Volat created the concept and art direction, and asked us to do what we do best: bring a fully generated world to life. Three films, one generated universe, and a Digital Out-of-Home rollout across the Randstad and the Netherlands' student cities.

The Idea: A Generated World, Brought to Life
Fama Volat's concept celebrates what people can make when the tools stop being the obstacle. The campaign lives in a world that is openly, proudly generated, and our job was to make that world feel alive. Three hero formats carry the campaign: a DJ commanding the booth, Henk at his organ, and Maartje on the train, each one a small story about showing what you can do.
This is where studio craft meets AI production: characters that hold their identity across every shot, scenes with the texture and light of a real production, and a visual world flexible enough to survive every screen format the media plan would throw at it.

The Craft: From Stills to Motion With an Animator
We designed the base visuals in four master formats: 9:16, 16:9, 1:1 and 21:9. From there, we brought the images to life. Working together with an animator, we turned every still into motion designed for public space: movement that reads in a glance, loops that pop on a station screen, detail that survives daylight on a city-size display.
That combination, AI-generated worlds plus a human animator's timing, is what makes the films feel produced rather than generated. The technology built the world; the craft made it move.

The Rollout: Every Screen in the Country
DOOH is a jungle of specifications, and this campaign went everywhere: programmatic screens, NS station displays, shopping center networks and large-format city screens. We delivered the three films in batch after batch of format variants, ten delivery batches in total, each cut, reframed and re-timed from our four master formats for the exact screen it would run on.
The campaign is live now as the opening phase of Canva's bigger Benelux push, with TV, radio and online video to follow later this year. Concept and art direction: Fama Volat. Media: Media Value. AI production: Trojan Monkeys.
